      <image:title>Bart's Story - Bart’s Story</image:title>
<image:caption>I launched my executive coaching practice in 2021 after spending over 40 years in media and journalism. Most of that time was spent in senior leadership roles (see below), responsible for directing large, innovative and dynamic teams in competitive, high-pressure, results oriented environments - from a global news network to a groundbreaking digital start-up. The only constant in my career was the inevitable necessity to lead through change and transitions, big and small. As much as I enjoyed and appreciated the awards, ratings and commercial successes that my teams earned, my greatest professional satisfaction came in seeing the men and women whom I managed and mentored achieve their own career success and personal happiness. My life’s lessons, in addition to outstanding training, have prepared me to coach at any level in any business or organization. I received my certification through the iCoach Professional Coaching Program, and I now have the privilege of serving on the faculty of iCoach Global. I have earned a PCC Credential from the International Coaching Federation and have been certified in EQi 2.0 and EQi 360 assessments. I am a Certified Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and I am also certified in Harrison Assessments, Clark Wilson 360 Feedback Surveys, the Team Performance Model, and I completed the Mindfulness Bases Stress Reduction Program through the UMASS Memorial Medical Center. My wife Karen and I have been married for 36 years and are the proud parents of three terrific young adults and two wonderful dogs. As a family we have been involved for more than 15 years in supporting and visiting students at several schools in Cambodia. My other passions include yoga, meditation and my library of presidential biographies and memoirs.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Emotional Intelligence has been getting a lot of attention, for good reason. Too often dismissed as “soft skills”, the reality is the components of Emotional Intelligence are the bedrock of exceptional leadership especially in the unprecedented times in which we are living and working. Emotional Intelligence is the primary lens through which I coach, helping my clients identify strengths to leverage and opportunities for development. Unlike our IQ and our personality - our EQ - our emotional intelligence, can be enhanced through practice and heightened self-awareness. It helps to have a trained Executive Coach for guidance, support and honest feedback. Executive Coaching is a powerful business tool that can help newly promoted leaders get off to a great start, can assist experienced leaders step up to the next challenge, and help them do all of this while avoiding burn-out and delivering great results. It also maximizes a company’s investment in its human capital through improved culture, productivity, retention, recruitment, and communication. It would be my privilege to help.
